The Thistle Experience!

Thistle in the Woods provided the most incredible service at a special event we recently hosted at our home for 100 people. The time and effort Nick and Sam dedicated to planning our dream menu with us, was second to none. Thistle in the Woods’ catering staff attended the night and their service was of the highest standard. They greeted all our guests with warmth and cheer. The standard of the food they served was exceptional and all our guests commented on how delicious everything tasted. We highly recommend this family owned business for any function, because there is no doubt Nick and Sam will tailor it to your needs and exceed all your expectations.

Would highly recommend! The food ordered (from the entertainers packages) was to celebrate our small wedding with our guests. We were all amazed by presentation and how good the food tasted. Nick was great, when he dropped the food off he took the time to explain what each box of food was and what needed to be heated. We are glad we choose Thistle in the woods.

we use TITW for client gifts and also personal and corporate celebrations and events and they are absolutely incredible to deal with! nothing is ever too much to ask, they spoil us with extras and the food is next level amazing!! I wouldn't use any other catering service in our local Nambour area after working with Nick & Sam!

Thistle in the Woods recently catered for our 30th wedding anniversary in Brisbane. I can not recommend this business highly enough…Nick and Sam were always prompt in responding to any questions and provided reassuring guidance in planning how for the event. And then there was the food..it was magnificent in both quality and abundance! So much so, that I plan to have them cater for every event I have in the future. I’m still unsure as to how they can provide such extraordinary quality and range of food, beautifully presented and able to be heated and served as a gourmet restaurant meal from my humble kitchen. I am looking forward to my Christmas feast for the first time this year, safe in the knowledge that Nick and Sam are preparing it! Thank you again for such a brilliant meal!

110/10!! Nick and Sam catered our combined 50th celebration and both the service and the food were outstanding. The food was out of this world good - and the flexibility with dietary requirements was hugely appreciated. Nick was so easy to work with when it came to organising it all and I would definitely recommend them for your function. We had a wonderful night and can’t wait to do it again. I was very happy with the chocolate fudge cake I ordered for my son’s 21st. With caramel drip and the beautiful toppings including toffee and macarons - it looked and tasted amazing. I will definitely use Thistle in the Woods again for future cakes and catering.

Thistle in the Woods was highly recommended to us so we didn’t hesitate to choose them for catering our stand up cocktail style wedding. We chose a rotating canapés service which there was plenty of. Each dish was amazing, our guests have been still complimenting the food weeks after the wedding. Nick was lovely from the very first meet and greet and ensured everything ran smoothly on the night, including looking after our cake and bringing it out for us when we were ready. How did Thistle in the Woods come about?

The Scotch Thistle, which adorns our inherited house name plate “Cadzow”, is our emblem, incidentally located in Palmwoods, Sunshine Coast, QLD (the “Woods”)

The concept for our business is born from two chefs who were ready to explore their own food styles, and inject their personalities into the business.

And being blessed with so many innovative small producers of exceptional products and services on the Sunshine Coast, showcasing these is one of our passions!
