The Thistle Experience!

We used Thistle in the Woods over the weekend for the entertainment package (self catering). They were so easy to deal with from ordering to drop off of food. The food was presented beautifully and any heating required was so easy, it didn't take us away from our party. So many comments on the tasty food...you could tell it was high quality. We had Thistle in the Woods provide food for our Mum’s funeral today. The food was delicious, well presented, and a great variety. I want to thank you for the care you put into preparation, delivery, and presentation. It took a huge burden off us on the day we said our last farewell to Mum and the depth of our appreciation is immeasurable.

Fantastic food, great service and lovely people. We had a dinner party at home and the menu was amazing. went for a combo of duck rolls to start (OMG), beef and lamb mains, cheese platter and of course the boozy cupcakes. Nick delivered the food to our home, walked us through everything, even checking our oven temp. Thistle in the Woods really made our milestone celebration easy and amazing! Local business owners who care about local produce, fresh food and their customer service. Will definitely call on you again. Thanks

Thistle in the Woods, your team provided the most delicious grazing platter and mini burgers for my husband and I, while we spent a few nights away ( kid free ). I must thank you for going above and beyond to accommodate our needs, from the first email, through to delivery - straight into the fridge at our Airbnb cottage, the whole process was hassle free. These small touches allowed my husband and I to nibble our way through our stay, without having to think about preparing meals. Your passion for food really shows in the fresh ingredients you use, the creative combinations on the menu and the presentation of your dishes. Everything provided was of the highest quality possible. Tasting some of the local produce in our platters was the “ icing on the cake “ so to speak ! I can not recommend you guys highly enough !

How did Thistle in the Woods come about?

The Scotch Thistle, which adorns our inherited house name plate “Cadzow”, is our emblem, incidentally located in Palmwoods, Sunshine Coast, QLD (the “Woods”)

The concept for our business is born from two chefs who were ready to explore their own food styles, and inject their personalities into the business.

And being blessed with so many innovative small producers of exceptional products and services on the Sunshine Coast, showcasing these is one of our passions!
