We couldn’t be happier with the experience we had with Thistle in the Woods for our private wedding reception at our home in August 2024! Sam and Nick were absolutely amazing—so genuine and lovely to work with. They went above and beyond to make our day perfect, from being excellent communicators throughout the planning process to tailoring our menu to suit dietary requirements.
On the day, the entire team was incredibly friendly and professional. They left our property spotless, which we truly appreciated. We had so many compliments on the food—it was delicious, beautifully presented, and suited every guest’s needs perfectly.

Wow!!!! Today I had a gathering for 20 and Nick came and catered for us - we are all wedding suppliers. We were all salivating and so full be the time Nick departed. The food was sensational!!! They met the budget, provided amazing menus to choose from, communication prior was on point and the food...... soooo good!! As a wedding planner I am often asked for recommendations for catering for their wedding. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Nick and Sam after dealing with them in the lead up and now having had an entire meal from them. I have also had the pleasure of working with Nick on site for a wedding photo shoot and again his communication was great and he met the brief for the shoot. The food was divine, fresh, in house made (no heating of mass produced frozen items) delicious and it kept coming all night. We used Thistle in the Woods over the weekend for the entertainment package (self catering). They were so easy to deal with from ordering to drop off of food. Nick and Sam catered our combined 50th celebration and both the service and the food were outstanding. The food was out of this world good - and the flexibility with dietary requirements was hugely appreciated. Nick was so easy to work with when it came to organising it all and I would definitely recommend them for your function. We had a wonderful night and can’t wait to do it again.
