I highly recommend Thistle in the Woods! We hosted our daughters wedding and Thistle in the Woods catered superbly. The food was divine, fresh, in house made (no heating of mass produced frozen items) delicious and it kept coming all night. I would 100% recommend Thistle in the woods for your catering needs! I recently hosted a hens weekend on the Sunshine Coast hinterland and was going to have to do all the cooking/ catering until I found them. They saved me so much time/effort and stress so I could actually enjoy the weekend as well. We had the most delicious canapés and sweets box for a picnic and then catered breakfast the next morning. Nick and Sam responded incredibly quickly and helped me with all my enquiries. They delivered on time, walked me through how to prepare everything and got the oven ready in the airbnb we had. They were also incredibly well priced for the food and service they provide!

The amazing team from Thistle in the Woods created a perfect long lunch for my birthday. It was rather last minute (COVID cancelled my plans for an offshore celebration), but Nick and Sam just couldn’t do enough to ensure the day was everything I hoped for, and more! The food was superb, the service was effortless, our many and varied dietary requirements were not an issue, and when they left you wouldn’t even know they had been - the kitchen was cleaner than when they arrived!!! Thank you Nick, Sam and the whole team for making my birthday truly special - I will definitely avail of your services again xx

Sam and Nick were absolutely amazing—so genuine and lovely to work with. They went above and beyond to make our day perfect, from being excellent communicators throughout the planning process to tailoring our menu to suit dietary requirements. How did Thistle in the Woods come about?

The Scotch Thistle, which adorns our inherited house name plate “Cadzow”, is our emblem, incidentally located in Palmwoods, Sunshine Coast, QLD (the “Woods”)

The concept for our business is born from two chefs who were ready to explore their own food styles, and inject their personalities into the business.

And being blessed with so many innovative small producers of exceptional products and services on the Sunshine Coast, showcasing these is one of our passions!
