The Thistle Experience!

We couldn’t be happier with the experience we had with Thistle in the Woods for our private wedding reception at our home in August 2024! Sam and Nick were absolutely amazing—so genuine and lovely to work with. They went above and beyond to make our day perfect, from being excellent communicators throughout the planning process to tailoring our menu to suit dietary requirements. On the day, the entire team was incredibly friendly and professional. They left our property spotless, which we truly appreciated. We had so many compliments on the food—it was delicious, beautifully presented, and suited every guest’s needs perfectly. I was very happy with the chocolate fudge cake I ordered for my son’s 21st. With caramel drip and the beautiful toppings including toffee and macarons - it looked and tasted amazing. I will definitely use Thistle in the Woods again for future cakes and catering.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary recently n had Nick n Sam cater on site for us. Nick was incredible on how he thought of everything n took care of everything so I didn’t have to do a thing. He organised chairs, tables etc as well as cooking the most delicious food. Their service is next to none and we recommend that everyone should use Thistle in the Woods for their next event. Thank you so much Nick n Sam you helped make our celebration perfect

We used Thistle in the Woods over the weekend for the entertainment package (self catering). They were so easy to deal with from ordering to drop off of food. The food was presented beautifully and any heating required was so easy, it didn't take us away from our party. So many comments on the tasty food...you could tell it was high quality. Thistle in the Woods Family with Personality

How did Thistle in the Woods come about?

The Scotch Thistle, which adorns our inherited house name plate “Cadzow”, is our emblem, incidentally located in Palmwoods, Sunshine Coast, QLD (the “Woods”)

The concept for our business is born from two chefs who were ready to explore their own food styles, and inject their personalities into the business.

And being blessed with so many innovative small producers of exceptional products and services on the Sunshine Coast, showcasing these is one of our passions!
