I was so happy to have organised Thistle in the Woods to cater for my 50th birthday celebration. The whole process was so easy, from deciding on the menu through to the delivery. The presentation was fabulous, but also the food was just divine! Our guest were raving about the food all afternoon, from the grazing box right through to the sweets box.

Thistle in the Woods provided the most incredible service at a special event we recently hosted at our home for 100 people. The time and effort Nick and Sam dedicated to planning our dream menu with us, was second to none. Thistle in the Woods’ catering staff attended the night and their service was of the highest standard. They greeted all our guests with warmth and cheer. The standard of the food they served was exceptional and all our guests commented on how delicious everything tasted. We highly recommend this family owned business for any function, because there is no doubt Nick and Sam will tailor it to your needs and exceed all your expectations.

The amazing team from Thistle in the Woods created a perfect long lunch for my birthday. It was rather last minute (COVID cancelled my plans for an offshore celebration), but Nick and Sam just couldn’t do enough to ensure the day was everything I hoped for, and more! The food was superb, the service was effortless, our many and varied dietary requirements were not an issue, and when they left you wouldn’t even know they had been - the kitchen was cleaner than when they arrived!!! Thank you Nick, Sam and the whole team for making my birthday truly special - I will definitely avail of your services again xx

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary recently n had Nick n Sam cater on site for us. Nick was incredible on how he thought of everything n took care of everything so I didn’t have to do a thing. He organised chairs, tables etc as well as cooking the most delicious food. Their service is next to none and we recommend that everyone should use Thistle in the Woods for their next event. Thank you so much Nick n Sam you helped make our celebration perfect

The bestest cake ever Sam. It looked beautiful, the time and effort put in to the edible decorations too and it tasted devine. My daughter and her guests; didn’t only enjoy it they actually demolished it! 🎂😍 Great communication throughout. Great job!!!❤️

Thistle in the Woods Family with Personality

How did Thistle in the Woods come about?

The Scotch Thistle, which adorns our inherited house name plate “Cadzow”, is our emblem, incidentally located in Palmwoods, Sunshine Coast, QLD (the “Woods”)

The concept for our business is born from two chefs who were ready to explore their own food styles, and inject their personalities into the business.

And being blessed with so many innovative small producers of exceptional products and services on the Sunshine Coast, showcasing these is one of our passions!
